Rotary International is the world's first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to bring peace and stability to the world by providing water and sanitation, disease prevention and treatment, maternal and child health, basic education and literacy, economic and community development, peace and conflict prevention/resolution. The mission of Rotary International is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.
Some of the projects the Custer Rotary Club had this last year.
Custer Food Pantry/Community Exchange
Time to assist in the handling of food, and in the move to the new facilities. In addition, funds were donated toward the facility also. The Community Exchange was created by local volunteers to provide a place for people to donate household furnishings and clothes. It is then distributed to people in need at no cost.
Custer Boy Scouts
We assisted an Eagle Scout candidate, with a project to construct a picnic shelter at Gates Park. In addition an annual contribution to the local troop is made.
Hwy 89 (Sylvan Lake Road) Road clean up-
Gates Park/West Dam - In conjunction with the City and the Lions Club, we assisted with planting trees, providing bark dust and did the fencing at the playground area near the ball diamond

Annually provide dictionaries to the Custer Elementary 3rd Graders
Provide Food for the School's Back Pack Program
Custer Rotary Provides an Annual Scholarship for a Graduating Senior
Annual Donations-
Custer Rotary also donates funds annually to the Custer Senior Center, Jambalaya, Church and Community Response, Relay for Life, Youth Projects, YMCA, Polio Plus,The Rotary Foundation (which provides grants to Rotary Clubs to help with larger projects) and other worthwhile local and international projects.
