The evening of Friday, May 20, was a huge success for the Custer Rotary Wine Tasting and Raffle Event.  Firehouse Winery, from Rapid City, and Naked Winery from Hill City were present giving sample tasting of their wines.  We had beer donated by Sick and Twisted Brewery from Hill City, and also from Crow Peak out of Spearfish, and also The Knuckle Brewery from Sturgis. And Beer Growlers from Firehouse, Sick and Twisted, The Knuckle Brewery, and the Custer Wolf.  
We would like to thank Firehouse Winery, Naked Winery, Sick and Twisted Brewery , the Knuckle Brewery, and all the merchants who contributed to make this a fun and prosperous event.  The Custer Rotary Club was able to make $10160.00, that will be used for projects.

Custer Storehouse-Assisting in the handling of food, and providing a monthly contribution. The Storehouse started out as the Custer Food Pantry and The Community Exchange and was created by local volunteers to provide a place for people to donate household furnishings and clothes and food. It is then distributed to people in need at no cost.
 
Custer Boy Scouts-As a charter sponsor, the Custer Rotary supports the Custer Boy Scouts program. In the past we assisted an Eagle Scout candidate, with a project to construct a picnic shelter at Gates Park, and look forward to assisting in other ways.  In addition an annual contribution to the local troop is made.
Hwy 89 (Sylvan Lake Road) Road clean up-
Gates Park/West Dam area– improvements.
Pageant Hill– completed a new roof on the  shelter at Pageant Hill.  A large picnic shelter is planned for 2017.
Annual Custer High School Scholarship
Hope Haven Wheelchair Program– members have traveled to Romania, Jamaica, and Guatemala,to distribute wheelchairs for disabled children and adults.
Annual  Donations-Custer Rotary also contributes to the Custer Senior Center, Church and Community Response, Relay for Life, Many different Youth Projects, Literacy program, YMCA, Polio Plus, (Eradicating Polio Worldwide) School Back Pack Program, Kids against Hunger, SMAAF, (arts)
We help sponsor a student along with the District that is in Tanzania, we also assist the District with sewing machines to India to help women start business. 
Many, other worthwhile projects.
